More than one icon style on an information map?

Can I have several different icons on an information map?  I'd like to distinguish between different types of hot spot on a single map.  The documentation seems to suggest I can but I just don't see how to do it.

On the module settings there's an option

Allow custom icons for information items?

Select this option if you would like to be allow a different icon for each information item. If unchecked the map icon will be used for all items

This will do what you need.
