Is there a way to have the information area list derived from the sql database where the users are stored?
if not would you be willing to progam that for us at a cost of course...

the problem with what you are suggesting is that the user's information on the database does not have any item related to the map you're using. So there's no way to relate that information with the image map.
So unless you have a way to automatically assign each user a point coordinate related to the map I don't see an easy way for doing this.
