In the tutorial where it shows me how to add a module. It wants a folder name. I tried giving it the installation folder C:\dotnetnuke\Solutions\DotNetNuke.DesktopModules\invitations\Installation

and i got a very long error saying it didn't like the format.

Are you talking of the part where you define the module in Module Definitions? If so, just give a folder name, the path will be automatically added.
In your case you can use "Invitations". Look at your desktopmodules folder and use the same name of the folder where you module is.

Hi there, I'm having some problems entering module definitions whilst creating my first ever DNN module :)

For reference I'm using the Helloworld example.

When I try to type a definition name under define new module I get the error "A critical error has occured, input string is not in a correct format"

I have built the myModule dll and myModuleSQLDataProvider dll in the C:/DotNetNuke/DesktopModules/myModule folder, not inside the
C:\DotNetNuke\Solutions\DotNetNuke.DesktopModules\myModule folder as described by the previous post. Was this incorrect? (I have also tried making a copy of myModule folder in the DotNetNuke.DesktopModules folder but this didnt solve my prolem either.

The solution to my problem lay here, I recommend anyone developing their first DNN 3.2.2 module to read it and save themselves a lot of heartache!
